International Orders

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, that is our specialty. See the International Orders page for details.

What Countries do you ship to?

We can ship to any country for which it is legal to do so. Go to International Orders page for details.

What are the requirements for exporting reloading components (bullets and brass)?

An Export License is required to ship bullets out of the US. However, we automated the process so that the forms necessary to apply for an export license are printed during checkout. For more specific details on international orders see our International Orders page and select the country that you reside in.

What Forms do I need to provide for you to apply for an export license?

All export license applications require a signed purchase order. Our website will provide a completed purchase order for you. All you need to do is print the the completed purchase order, sign, and return it to us by email (preferred), FAX, or mail. The items on the purchase order are what can be exported on any given license. Other required documents vary by country. See our International Orders page for details.

What is an Import Certificate?

Import Certificates are issued by the Canadian Government and verifies that proper procedures were followed and that you declare the intention not to reexport the imported material without prior approval. The Import Certificate is free and takes approximately 1-2 weeks to process, depending on method of application.

How do I apply for an Import Certificate?

Import certificates are required for Canadian customers only.  A completed application is printed during check out. Verify that the information on the application is correct and mail or FAX the application and a copy of the purchase order to the address or number on the form. For expedited service, you can apply for the International Import Certificate online.

Do I need an Import Permit to import bullets?

Canada and Argentina require an import certificate. Australia and South Africa require an import permit  to receive bullets and brass.

We have found that most other countries do not require an import certificates of permits. In those cases we simply require a letter stating that no import certificate is required. The letter should also include your use of the bullets (hunting, target shooting, competitive shooting, etc.). We have found that more detailed information speeds up the approval process. We have often submitted Ukraine gun licenses as backup documentation to confirm the ownership of guns of the caliber being purchased. With the US State Department, more detail is always better.

How long does it take to get an export license?

The whole process takes up to 4 weeks.  The time required to process an export license varies by country. Canadian licenses typically process in a couple of days.

How long is the export license valid?

Up to 4 years, depending on country. The life of a license depends on the life of the import certificate/permit. Export licenses in Canada are valid for 1 year and Australia 6 months. Countries that do not issue import certificates or require import permits are valid for 4 years.

How much does the export license cost?

The fee for the export license is 10% of the total items on the purchase order that requires an export license. The fee is charged as a 10% tax on each order. Export fees are a fixed cost and are not refundable.

Am I required to get an export license for each order?

No. You can include multiple orders on 1 export license. Each order is paid and shipped separately. No additional paperwork is necessary. For example, if you have a $1,000 license, you could place 4 $250 orders. Once everything on the license is shipped a new license is required. Only the items on the export license can be shipped. Once the export license application is issued no substitutions can be made.

Can I order reloading components for friends?

No. The export license is for personal use and is issued to an individual. Goods on the personal use export licenses can not be sold or passed on to others. Each person ordering from us is required to have their own export license. If you have friends that may have difficulty communicating with us we do appreciate you helping them through the process. However, the export license must be in their name and unless special arrangements are made products must be shipped to them.

Do you sell primers and powder?

No. Due to shipping rules and regulations we cannot ship primers, primed brass, and powder.

Yes, we offer a 5% discount on all paid orders over $1000. Discounts do not apply on J4 jackets, Rocky Mountain jackets, or JLK bullets.

Do I have to pay taxes or duty on my order?

All items entering a foreign country are subject to customs inspection and assessment of duties, taxes and fees in accordance with your country's national laws. Customs duties and taxes are assessed if the item sent is dutiable and if the value of the item is above the threshold set by your country's laws. Duties, taxes and fees vary from country to country. Please check the regulations for your country. Information on duty and taxes can be found at your country's National Customs Website. The recipient is the only person who can pay duty and taxes. We are not responsible for any duty or taxes on your order. If there is a maximum value that is exempt from duties or taxes we are glad to work with you to send shipment that will minimize your import fees.

Do I need to do a report once I receive my order?

Canadian buyers are required to report the arrival of the goods on the import certificate within 1 month. This is a simple process and can be done on-line.

Shipping

How are orders shipped?

The fastest and most economical shipping for all of our domestic and international orders is via USPS Priority mail flat rate boxes. We can ship up to 20 pounds international in a flat rate box (postal service regulation).  That is 19 lbs 15.9 oz including the box, packing and all paperwork. Our system determines your shipping cost based on a calculated weight of 19 lbs. We try to make sure the product weights in our are system are accurate. The stated shipping weights on our site are packed weights. If the packed weight of your order exceeds the maximum shipping weight for a flat rate box we will contact you.

USPS Priority Mail really is the most economical way to ship lead. However, Express Mail is available on request.

A note about Russia: The recent customs union in Russia prohibits shipment of guns, gun parts, ammunition and ammunition parts via international mail. These can be shipped by other carriers. We are still trying to find an economical alternative to shipping to Russia. Please email us if you have any questions or suggestions.

If you wish for the in stock items to be shipped immediately, please note this on your order. There will be shipping charges on each box shipped.

Will I be charged shipping for my back ordered items?

Yes, we do charge to ship back ordered items. However, you can add back order items to new orders.

How much is shipping in the United States?

We have a flat rate shipping fee of $7.95 for orders up to 4 pounds and $13.70 for orders from 4 to 40 pounds. This rate includes shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. Some small items may fit in a small flat rate box. If that is the case we will ship it that way and refund the shipping difference.

How much is international shipping?
